Job Title: Software Engineer
Reports To: IT Development Manager
This position requires an experienced associate that is technically proficient. They will master the Festival Foods' SDLC and can make recommendations for improvement to the development process. Will act as a primary mentor for new associates. Must be the highest performing associates and maintain a track record of completing all their work on time. Will work in conjunction with the manager using personal experience, to choose the technologies that best create the technical solution for a project. Responsible for coordinating and managing the release activities for promoting code to production. Utilizing their communication abilities, work closely with end users in support of their systems. Actively look for ways to reduce the amount of time spent on support for their teams and make recommendations to their team leads and managers on changes to reduce support. Will create automated tests at the user interface, integration points, and unit level and will rely on test output to direct future development work. Must be the primary source of knowledge for multiple systems that their department supports. Will be brought in to help on the most difficult and at-risk projects. Must possess a high level of system knowledge for both their department and other IS departments and understand how their systems interact.
