Job Summary

Lead the performance of our network technology at Festival Foods as a Sr. Network Engineer!  This new role, which can be based either at our De Pere (Greater Green Bay) or Onalaska (Greater La Crosse) offices, will report to the IT Network Manager, and will take the lead on establishing and maintaining our network environment; including day-to-day networking tasks and configuration of firewall security settings; while also leading network technology upgrades and expansion projects.

 

You’ll bring: experience as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, Network Analyst, etc.; coupled with an enthusiasm for new technology,  demonstrated history with Cisco installation, maintenance, and configuration, ISE, and excellent communication & project skills.

Job Description

Job Title:           Senior Network Engineer

FLSA Status:     Salary

Reports To:      IT Network Manager

 

The IT Senior Network Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing of a complex multi-site network infrastructure.  The Senior Network Engineer performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets company and user satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishes networking environment by installing, configuring, testing, and documenting the equipment/network systems according to the design and specifications.
  • Leads the performance of day-to-day networking tasks to ensure network reliability, availability, and serviceability within minimal interruption between a complex multi-site enterprise network
  • Provides technical support, responds to work orders and tickets from the users, analyzes and solves reported network problems.
  • Leads in the configuration of firewall security settings to access permissions groups for individuals and sets up provisions for incoming data.
  • Leads network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software, and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without disturbing function of other systems.
  • Leads in the development and production of complex documentation for installation, network topology, and troubleshooting of communications hardware or software.
  • Strong Cisco experience including FMC, FTD, ISE and DNAC
  • Experience working with Internet Service Providers
  • Network and Wireless skills including Wireless technologies - such as RADIUS, LWAPP, Cisco ACS, Wireless security, and encryption (802.11i, WPA/WPA2, 802.1x), Firewalls, Routers, Switches etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Cisco certifications preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of demonstrated technical experience; or an Associate’s degree plus 10 years of demonstrated technical experience
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills
  • Commercial and business acumen
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Sitting or standing at a computer 50% of the time
  • Bending, stretching, and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. is required

 

WORK SCHEDULE

The Sr. Network Engineer is a full-time, salaried position. May be required to work overtime, provide on call support (weekends and holidays), and occasional travel.
