We are looking for a self-motivated and passionate IT End User Technology Engineer to join the talented IT Department at Festival Foods. The End User Technology Engineer is responsibie for defining end user hardware and software standards, engineering and securing a standard device image, software distribution, patching, hardware and software life cycle management, administration of related IT support tools to support the needs of our 55 locations (and growing) throughout  WI. The focus of this position is the overall delivery of end user technology solutions.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overall design, strategy, delivery and maintenance of end user technology.
  • Provides strategic, innovative and cost-effective solutions to increase efficiency, reliability, and integration of our EUT services and operations
  • Evaluate and define end user hardware and software standards (configuration\product selection).
  • Own end user software distribution and management for various device and operating systems.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the IT Service Desk for End User hardare and software support (Level 2).
  • Identify KPIs to ensure optimal end user technology operations and alignment with the needs of the business.
  • Create, test and develop standard workstation and mobile device images.
  • Test, evaluate, and package software and patches for workstation and tablet distribution.
  • Research, diagnose and resolve production problems such as defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in systems functions, outputs, and content
  • Perform upgrades / maintenance activities as well as troubleshoot system issues
  • Internalize customer feedback, and follow up with customer to ensure problems are solved by providing innovative ideas to meet their future needs
  • Mentor and train other team members as required
  • Package, test and deploy engineering software packages and updates to the end-user environment using SCCM
  • Create and maintain workflow design of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) managing the security and configuration of the Windows desktop OS
  • Create scripting solutions within PowerShell for automation and other administrative needs
    Provide expert consulting services along with testing, evaluation, and recommendations of hardware systems and software to meet end-user needs

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in professional experience.
  • Eight (8) plus years of progressive Service Desk and\or End User Technology engineering experience
  • Expert level experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows desktop environments
  • 5+ years MECM (SCCM) experience managing software distribution, Windows imaging and patch management.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with decision-making skills, excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and technical troubleshooting skillsDeveloping PowerShell scripts to automate tasks

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Sitting at a computer 50% of the time
  • Bending, stretching, and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs is required
  • Professional presence and proper phone etiquette is required
