The Training & Execution Sr. Specialist must possess strong leadership, training, and communication skills. The position impacts all aspects of the assigned in store fresh departments. This position will be directly responsible for the Training & Execution Specialist Team and leading positive execution of assigned Fresh department tasks through effective training.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and develops a team of Training & Execution Specialists through clear communication of expectations, demonstrating what good looks like, and instilling accountability for performance with a continuous improvement mindset for all areas of the assigned department.
  • Responsible for consistent execution across all assigned fresh departments at all Festival Foods locations.
  • Creates and establishes, communicates, and executes standards for guest helpfulness and product availability, follows up on guest comments.
  • Oversees every-day and seasonal assortments of products for all store locations.
  • Visits competition, analyzes market trends, identifies competitive advantages/disadvantages.
  • Collaborates with Sr. Department Directors with recommendations for new products, programs, and processes to improve CTO and follows through with implementing and executing practices through effective training.
  • Collaborates with other applicable department leaders to create and enhance cross merchandising opportunities.
  • Assists in developing the planograms and weekly promotional merchandising displays.
  • Responsible for the coaching and training for production planning, forecasting, and shrink management across all locations.
  • Partners with the Sr. Department Directors to manage overall profitability and to ensure alignment with annual operating plan for assigned department.
  • Collaborates with buying team and specialist team regarding accuracy in weekly ad forecasting.
  • Responsible for assisting with the annual forecasting and budgeting for assigned department
  • Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absence

  • Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical leadership level role in the Grocery/Retail industry.
  • Prefer candidates with a passion for training and fresh foods. Candidates must be results driven, demonstrate high levels of self-initiative, and have previous store operations and merchandising experience.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, quantitative analysis, resource allocation, leadership techniques, coordination of people and resources.
  • Proficient in Servant Leadership practices.
  • Experience successfully leading a Department is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organization skills are required.
  • Monitoring and assessing performance of self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Communicate information accurately and appropriately.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills including verbal communication, listening, negotiation, problem solving, decision making, and being assertive.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  • The associate must possess the ability to sit or stand at a computer up to 25% of the time and able to travel to across the state of Wisconsin 75% of the time.
  • The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly (50% of time)
  • Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment.
  • This position requires the associate have the ability to have full range of upper body motion in order to occasionally lift stock.
  • Requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment.
  • The position requires the associate to lift up to 60 pounds on an occasional basis (20% of time).
  • Proper training and knowledge of power equipment which may include: slicer, mixer, oven, knives and cutters, pallet or power jack, WAV, compactor, baler, and/or other baking equipment.
  • Working conditions consist of occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (20% of time)


WORK SCHEDULE
The Training & Execution Sr. Specialist is a full-time, salaried position based out of the Green Bay Store Support Office. The work schedule will include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. This position will be directly responsible for the training of some stores and will have oversite of all stores.

  • Ability to travel within the state of WI (75% of time), as business needs dictate.
