What You’ll Do:
As a Caribou Manager at Festival Foods, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide Exceptional Guest Service: Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day.
- Lead with Purpose: Provide strong leadership to Caribou Clerks, ensuring an enjoyable shopping & work experience and adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Drive Sales and Profitability: Manage café labor goals by creating schedules and collaborating with store leadership on daily, weekly, and annual labor objectives. Analyze item movement nad place orders with vendors for special orders and holidays.
- Cultivate a Positive Culture: Lead and reinforce the Festival culture and guest service expectations for all café associates.
- Empower Your Team: Train and mentor new Caribou Clerks, supporting their professional goals and conducting performance reviews to foster growth.
- Team Collaboration: Delegate tasks effectively and encourage teamwork throughout daily operations to maintain high standards in the café.
- Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure that all department standards & quality expectations are met, from inventory levels, to signage, to product quality and pricing accuracy. Grow sales through delivering exceptional experiences.
- Customer-Centric Service: Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly, embodying our commitment to excellent customer service and the boomerang principle.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Contribute to the café’s overall cleanliness by organizing and cleaning work areas, shelving, back stock conditions, and the sales floor. Take action to correct areas of opportunity.
- Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
- Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed as a Festival Foods Caribou Manager, you should have:
- Education or Experience: High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Leadership Skills: Previous experience leading a café operation preferred and the ability to lead & motivate a team.
- Communication Excellence: Strong oral and written communication skills, enabling effective interactions with guests and associates.
- Food Service Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the retail food business and café operations, including perishable department operations and merchandising skills.
- Decision-Making Ability: Ability to make timely and effective decisions.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety requirements and the ability to recognize and react to potential hazards in the store. Willingness to learn and be trained in relevant equipment/procedures (such as hand jack, slicer, grinders, etc.)
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with technology and computer use, ensuring accurate timekeeping and inventory management.
- Certifications: Must be ServeSafe Certified to ensure food safety and compliance.

Work Schedule:
The Caribou Manager is a full-time, salaried position. This position may work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
