As a Meat Clerk, you'll be at the center of it all—answering questions, recommending cuts, and ensuring our meat cases are full, fresh, and ready for the next guest. In this role, you’ll provide top-notch service at the meat and seafood counter, restock and rotate product on the sales floor, and help keep our department running smoothly. From special orders to food safety standards, you'll play a key role in creating a department guests trust and return to again and again.
What You’ll Do:
As a Meat Clerk at Festival Foods, your responsibilities will include:
Deliver Helpful Service: Provide exceptional guest service at the meat counter and on the sales floor, including fulfilling special orders and answering product questions.
Maintain fresh, well-stocked displays by inspecting, rotating, and replenishing meat products and supplies.
Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
Collaborate with the Team: Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed as a Festival Foods Meat Clerk, you should have:
Food Safety: A willingness to learn food safety standards, proper equipment usage (like slicers), and inventory practices.
Ability to Multitask and stay customer service focused in a busy retail grocery environment.
Safety Mindset: An understanding of safety and food safety practices and a commitment to following them. This role requires proper training and knowledge of equipment and procedures, including: slicers, proper lifting techniques, trash compactor, baler, etc.
